First blog post ever (as long as you don't count the Shutterfly page)

So here I am! I have never thought that I would be the kind of person to blog. However, after reading and hearing about several other people's blogs, I thought I'd give it a try. After all, I have things that I could share too, right? The question that remains is whether or not anyone will be interested enough in what I have to say to read it! Only time will tell...

What exactly do I hope to accomplish through this? Well, I am a researcher. I don't make many decisions without doing a lot of homework first. You may say that I'm a "ready...ready...ready...aim...aim...aim.........fire" type of person. Exactly the opposite of my husband, Jon, who is more of a "ready, fire, aim" type. Anyways, because of this, I have learned a lot about a variety of topics and hope that I can share some useful information with someone else who isn't such a researcher. Once I master the art of using this site, I hope to add links to my posts that would help back up what I have to say. I intend to cover many subjects (I've come up with 11 so far) that most people (OK, mostly women) may have some level of interest in. I also hope to be able to post a "favorite thing" once a day, but we'll see how things go. I do have a 1 year old to take care of!
